Configure network to connect with a gateway in Fedora

Posted by jhalak on January 10, 2008

Open the terminal and type: neat
Then there will open a dialog box.
Click -> DNS (Tab)
In hostname section type the IP address of the gateway you want to connect. In primary DNS section type the IP address of the gateway.
Click -> File -> save
Close the box and in the terminal type : service network restart
And you are done.
Now if you are connected with the gateway (server) that is connected with internet, then you are now connected with the internet too.
